What. A. Week.
First of all, conference was so good! Just wanted to share my thoughts on joy. My mom always told me that you can choose to be happy.
Yes things, circumstances, might be hard and trials may be tough, but when we make Christ the focus of our lives and seek the joy we will find it. We find what we seek. Be that answers to questions about doctrine or life, excuses, or fun, we will find it. Recapture your testimony every day through study and pondering the doctrine of Christ – that way, when tough times arise and our testimonies are called up to be strong, we will withstand those blows by remembering the foundation of our testimony and who we follow.
“Testimony is as elusive as a moonbeam; it’s as fragile as an orchid; you have to recapture it every morning of your life.” President Harold B. Lee
We saw so many miracles this week; one of our investigators prayed for the first time in a lesson, she feels that prayers are personal and felt that she didn’t want to say one out loud. But she finally said one!!!! Another investigator is back from her trips and we talked about baptism and said that she’d like to get baptised as soon as possible; she just wanted to run a couple of dates past her parents (who were very opposed in the beginning) but she seemed very confident that within the month she’ll be baptised!!!! Our 84 year old investigator came to general conference!!! We finally saw a MIA investigator and he seems back to normal and is excited about the gospel again! Also saw miracles that happened on scambio this week, but I’ll have to write about that another time as I’m running out of time!!
Transfer calls are tonight and I’m freaking out! Might be leaving my birth city!!!! Ahhhh!!!
Have the best week!!!
It’s not about me, it’s not about us.
